Samsung's latest camera solution, Vision Assist, focuses on new ways to further increase the efficiency of DR imaging. Vision Assist allows continuous patient monitoring through Vision Live, which is a live camera in the tube head unit of AccE GC85A. It assists radiological technicians to control quickly and accurately the positioning and setting process even in the control room. We got the retake rate from the reject and usage data and investigated its clinical evidence from Finland. Our customers in Finland are using AccE GC85A and collaborate for comparing the number of retakes for both periods before and after using Vision Assist. As a result, there was a significant reduction in the retake rate, with the average operation periods being 117 and 84 days for before and after, respectively. (Figure 1, Table 1). For reference, the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) recommends using 8% as a target for overall retake rate and 10% as a threshold for possible corrective action.1)
